Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple
According to the Varaha Purana, Lord Rama, Sita Mata and Sri Lakshmana stayed here while returning to Ayodhya from Lanka. The temple was built by the Cholas in the tenth century which commemorates their stay here.
Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple was built by the Chola kings in the 10th century A.D. This temple was well developed by other kings as well especially by Sri Krishna Deva Raya in the 15th century.
There are symbols and raja mudras of the Vijaya Nagara dynasty also seen on the rock walls of outer mandapas. There is an Anjaneya Swamy (Hanumanji) temple located just opposite the temple.

The best time to visit Tirupati is from September to February.

The Ram Navami and Ugadi are the festivals widely celebrated here. There is a 9-day festival that is celebrated here called Brahmotsav.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, i.e., Ram Janmotsav, The temple celebrates Brahmotsav on this time, for 9 days, during which the Rathyatra of deities are taken out.
